Absolutely gorgeous.
I'm not sure if this qualifies but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all.
I still don't know if I love or hate the 'relic' idea

[I may have posted the image incorrectly - it's very large - also not sure about posting the link to the item for sale - I have nothing to do with the store that has it for sale.]
yeah..... relicing for the sake of looking old and well-worn when it's not??? Nah... that's pretty wanna-be, eh!
I like a bit of subtle relicing, especially if it means the fretboard edges have been rolled and the fret ends are nice and smooth. Yes you can do this on new guitars, but they rarely come like that. It also normally means that the guitar's got a thin nitro finish on, one of my preferences for commercially built guitars.
But I don't like heavy relics. Most of the wear patterns seem very odd to me and I have no idea how you'd get any wear in some of the places shown.
Few things off Tumblr.
Bottom left....shawing! Any idea what that one is?
I rather like the top right that looks a whole like a Deusenberg
Bottom left is a Beauchene Implements 2017 Alphecca
A few more Beauchene's
Sorry Dave King, no idea what the hollowbody is, The photo came without a caption.
I only saved it because I love the shape of the pick guard.
Is that a gold metallic finish? In some of the photos it looks like cork!
That steel one from Rebel Guitars is awesome
The steel one is a James Trussart.
A Fender Custom Shop Quilt Top Jazz Bass in transparent Sapphire Blue finish. Yummy!
WOW that is a sexy bass BG, looks like a transparent pickguard. Only if the JB kits had the same route for neck pup as the bridge could do this !
ooh that is nice.
A good pin stripe job suits a Gretsch

I must saw I love all the detail that went into this guitar. They are even going to make a limited production run of it.
Yeah, I've watched that video series from Crimson Guitars. He's done a beautiful job with that!
1947 Gibson ES300. Wow!
It's obviously got a replacement tailpiece. On the Gibson tailpieces of that type, the innermost points of the wavy design almost touch the centre bar. It's probably a WD replacement, like I've got ready to fit on my ES-3. The original tailpiece was more workmanlike. It's also had its scratchplate removed (maybe just for the photo as you can still see the side-support is still attached to the body).
My guess is that it's been refinished at some point, as the normal finish was a yellow/red/brown sunburst. The highly figured tops generally seem to have come a bit later - '49-'50 and the majority of 1947 guitars generally had a much more subdued maple ply construction. However there is nothing to stop this being a one-off or even a custom order.
I could only tell because I've got a reproduction tailpiece, but once you know, it is one easy way to tell a real one from a copy. Also if you Google for ES330, then you'll get lots of pics of them with the original tailpiece, a hollow trapezoid shape that looks like it may be aluminium.
Here's a very nice Tele scratchie built by a friend in the US
