Yeah, learning how to do that is certainly on my TODO list...

Actually... the one LAST thing I am tempted to try...
I have a pair of pickups from a Japanese Fender Jaguar... since they also mount to the body like the P-90's, they should be a direct drop in (they also fit in the same hole as the P-90s, just no as wide obviously).
I would need something to cover the excess space in the pickguard routes (till I could get a custom one made), but that should be pretty easy. I have also considered some craziness like angling one or both pickups. Might be a fun experiment!
I put some white contact on the pick guard as a test and loved it, so back to the shed to paint the pick guard I go, lol.
Well there you go! What a great colour and good call on the pick guard.
Very tasty looking instrument.
I am a fan for this colour Tommy well done.
that looks great man
Update: have a new maple neck and tone rider p-90s on the way. Really loving this guitar. It has proven to me that my real dream guitar is possible (keep your eyes open for that thread in the non-PGB section, hah).
Came up really nice Tommy great job.[emoji106]

Trying to decide if I like the new neck better or not. I think I actually got the old one straight, so not sure it’s needed... so only doing it if it’s prettier ;)
