I have been using Brasso to bring home a nice shiny gloss and then run some Nu Finish car polish over that and it looks very glossy without the sticky feeling. 1500 or 2000 grit W & D done dry is another option but does take it back to satin look.

Ok so let's put this in the correct thread...
Just did the clear coat on the decals, seems to have no reactions or nasty stuff....... marvellous!

Final coat of clear on the headstock, now the waiting game for the poly to harden.......... I'll give it a week or two......

That ,ist have been a fiddly little job getting the F decal cut into shape and positioned right. Just thinking about it make my toes curl!
Looks really cool.
Thanks Sonic!
This is the build I am most excited about so far (except the Macklay one, but that's for a different reason)
I'm really looking forward to hearing how it sounds with the three pickups wired together, and the satin body with the gloss neck and mod strat plate is coming along nicely. I have a stock squier strat and a squier Tele which I modded with humbuckers. The strat, a beautiful guitar, rarely gets played as it doesn't have sounds that I really like, I keep coming back to the LP. The Tele is kinda out of a job as the LP does that, so I'm probably going to sell the squire guitars and keep this one if it works out as good as I hope!
You can never have too many. I get it though, my G style guitars don't get used much, they are all a bit too similar. Also I've discovered that I actually prefer F styles after thinking I wanted a les paul for ages. I suppose I'll have to build a strat at some point....
