And that is always the most important thing. The focus here is often on the look of a guitar, because that is all we can really share in, but having a guitar that you enjoy playing is really what is all about.

So true Fretty.
It quite often pays to play with your eyes shut sometimes to take it all in, from the feel of the neck to the tone and sound coming out of the amp. Far more important factors than appearance alone.
hey guys. i have finally finished my strat. i know i looks similar to before. but i have finally done the white vol and tone knobs, i have also got genuine fender saddles and i got a full steel weight. i have also done partial phase of the neck pick up. its amazing how great this sounds now with all the upgrades done. i have put the nyxl d addario strings on and yeah they are expensive but they definatley handle the whammy very well.
i never thought id het a strat, but i must admit this guitar is the most versatile guitar i have. i can play from old bon jovi to dire straits to red hot chilli peppers. i only have one metal pedal but this guitar it feels i dont need much effects as it sound awesome by itself.
also thanks again guys i did not forget the help you guys gave and did my hunting and shopping around and found what i needed and now she is complete.

oh yes and i got the tonerider octane and yes it has plenty of grunt. i dont want to put the dark stars down as they are awesome but the octane has more harmonics, grunt and balls than them. just be prepared to turn down your controls a little. lol
hey guys, just thought id see what you guys thought. my guitar paint had started to peel and i know it was my first real colour paint job so yeah to be expected as im am really learning big time with painting a guitar.
So when i started sanding it back this is what i got. what do you think? i dig it and im thinking of just clear coating it now. any thoughts? the second pic is roughly what it will look like
did the headstock peel too?
hi Guvna19, nah it didnt, but also thats a new neck, i got a 22 fret neck as the old one was 21.
thanks Guvna19, yeah loved playing it. i was my first strat i ever bought and it has hooked me big time. i cant wait to play it again. atleast this time if it peels who will notice. haha
Yeah, go for it.
I say go for it, too. It looks great all relic'd up
