No that's not tru oil, poly or acrylic.
Thats the first coat of Dingotone final coat MKII.
The photo was taken 24 hours after application and was pretty hard after 48 hours. We have had about 75% humidity in the mornings and nearly 40 degrees out here during the day. 30 degrees where "Rhonda" has been hanging.
Waz, I think you would be surprised.
Andy that looks stunning dude! This is going to be easily one of the best ST builds I've seen on the forum to date.
cheers,
Gav.
Really looking good, Andy.
Hi mate, yes I am impressed that DT MkII has come up so good in all the hot weather we have had lately. Colour scheme just keeps getting better with each coat application.
Thanks Guys,
Well here's the second final coat of DT MkII after a quick 1500 wet sand. 48 hours drying time (dry but not cured yet).
I wasn't particularly concerned with making it super thin. I think its suffice to say that DT Mk II is a significant improvement on the previous DY Mk I final coats both in drying time, thickness (its a bit thicker) and much less finicky.

nice result and burst Andy!
Ok guys, I'm having a bit of a problem.
I laid the last DT final coat some time ago and have been diligently awaiting the final cut and polish.
Unfortunately, it appears that the Karajini Red has somehow colour leeched or faded or something and has turned very orange. I am not a massive fan of the burst now. Maybe its me? I don't know:confused:
My only other option is to sand it off and start again, which im going to need some resilience as its gonna kill me.

Damn Andy, that's so strange that it's done that. It may just be my phone, but the colour also looks a little patchy. I'd almost think it was a different guitar body
