Guys, pup wiring question. Yellow is the neck right? On my kit the yellow wiring is way shorter than the Red, so much that it won't reach the pots. Could the Red bridge actually be the neck?

hey Andrew,
think I've had a kit where they mixed up the yellow and red wires on the pups. Normally yellow is neck but in your case just reverse them and wire red to neck, yellow to bridge
Sweet thanks again oh overlord. Just wanted to make sure someone else had the same issue. Cheers mate.
no worries Andrew, sure the stock pups would be identical so the sound should be the same with the pups reversed.
So hopefully you will have some sound out of this baby soon, is the neck glued ?
Sure is mate, tuners on, pots all wired up, frets sorted. I'll have her annoying neighbours in a few hours.
sounds good mate. I built a spalted PRS a while ago and the fretboard feels good and they sound pretty darn good with stock hardware. Wind up the fuzz and the volume ! Might as well record a video once she's smoking !
Yeah mate will do. This is my first all stock kit as well. What should I play?
play whatever you feel like, some chords and a bit of lead would be cool.
Have you got a multimeter ? might be worth checking resistance of both pups, I've never checked the stockys
Sweet, I can do that. I'll get it up tonight at some stage.
Yep, I've noticed the red and yellow are sometimes switched, just check the screw pole orientation with the wire pointed toward the treble side. In my tests on the stock pups the neck is usually a couple of hundred ohms lower than the bridge.
