I live in Melbourne
I just built my first kit guitar
I did the ash body STA with 22 fret maple neck
It was also my first time doing wood work
Didnt expect it to be alot of work I was expecting more like a building kit similar to IKEA products
Not sure if I have enough patience to do another kit at this point
but it sure was a good satisfying feeling when I struck the first chord on it after finish was done
then I just couldnt let go of it and kept playing for good 2 hours after that. good feeling.
maybe I'll do another kit if I ever become unemployed or work less.

Nice. If you haven't done it in the meantime, you may want to make it a little bit nicer by taking the protective plastic off the back of the tuners (especially before any GOTM photos).
