I've made 2 of these so far - and left them unfinished. They look really weird at first, but begin to settle in with finger grease.
I'm about to do a few more. What's the opinion of the group? Tru-oil finish it or leave it raw? I'm torn.

Personally I avoid maple fingerboards. It looks horrible once it's worn. But if I was building a kit and maple was the only choice I'd seal it with something to keep it looking nice. It would need more that Tru Oil for that.
I would seal it with poly. Satin is really nice on necks.
I started with tru oil on my neck on my kit and I wasn't impressed with how it looked. I've now gone with a nitro lacquer finish.
