I need help figuring out how to drill the holes in my humbucker guitar
You mean like the holes that allow the pickup wires to connect to the controls in the cavity? And the hole that allows you to earth your bridge? What type of kit do you have?
Yes. I have a gs-2q.
Ok so you’ll need a hole that connects all pickup wires to the one area, a path basically. Like this.

And then you’ll need a hole that goes from the bridge insert hole to the bridge humbucker cavity. Like this.
Attachment 31392
Then, you’ll need to to drill a hole that goes from bridge humbucker cavity to your control cavity, like the second hole in the image above.
This can all be achieved using standard size drill bits, just as long as you position the drill at the appropriate angle. The holes don’t need to be massive, just enough for the wires to feed through.
Hopefully this helps, if not, YouTube is a great online resource.
Thank you so much and one more thing, I heard you need to drill from one of the bridge holes to the control cavity but for what?
The holes should already be pre-drilled for wiring/earthing on all the kits, unless you've got one that's faulty or specifically requested a custom order without holes. Do you already have the kit or are you awaiting delivery?
I do but they said that on some humbucker kits they aren’t pre drilled
I already revived my kit and the holes that aren’t there are from
The pickup cavities to the control cavity,
The input jack to the control cavity and
The bridge post hole to the control cavity
Ok, well doing the first two will be easy, just refer to my post above. As for the input jack, you will more than likely require what is called a ‘Forstner’ drill bit, I’d recommend a few places in which you’d find things as such but I don’t know what your location is. If you’re based in Australia, Bunnings is probably your best bet.
