ANZAC guitars....
Given that we're in the runup to ANZAC day, I thought I'd show a couple of guitars that I've done as tributes; one to my father who flew F4U-1D Corsairs in the RNZAF, and the other as a heartfelt tribute to the Aussie infantry who kept him safe and out of the Japs clutches "at the front"!

... here they are with the inspiration for them on his last visit in 2016. he's 96 now and unlikely to travel here again...
... trying to find photos of the guitars on their own, should anyone want to ee 'em!!

Nice story, great sentiment and nice looking guitars

They are not just show ponies, either; they are both Vantage Avengers that have been reworked; the Corsair Avenger has a Tonerider AC II wired for series, parallel and coil split, locking tuners and Electrosocket output jack with, of course, custom paint. The rear of the neck has been sanded to 2000 grit and left unfinished - it’s just sublime to play on!!
The Bougainville Avenger is pretty much stock; these guitars from Marsumoku had a proprietary copy of the DiMarzio SD pickups and were well sorted so new tuners and electronics were all that I did.... apart from the paint. Once again, the neck was sanded dead flat and left unfinished. Neither of these called be shredders, but they are lovely little players with loads of tones on tap!!

They both look great - how'd you do the graphics? Looks like quality airbrush work.
