Afternoon folks,
Anyone used these, thoughts? Put them in my latest Non PB Tele Build, and not enjoying at the moment.

That's disappointing. I haven't used these but I have Entwistle HDN humbucker in my Washburn that is awesome.
What is underwhelming you about them? Have you played with pickup height? That can drastically change the tone......
I have the Entwistle X3's in the FrankenWashie and i was quite impressed with them, though to be fair they are probably a far cry from the Tele set.
+1 on the playing with pickup Height. Dropping the Pup heights on the Korean Deluxe made an immediate and IMMENSE difference to the sound. It might be just a case of Fiddlin' until you find a sweet spot.
Both pickups (and mixed position) or just one of them?
Bridge mainly
Other people find differently, but I find most Tele bridge pickups need to be paired with the correct amp to sound really good.
The tonerides in my TL51 are all good, but maybe. Might nip across to Macron Music (plug as they always look after me really well), and plug it into something nice.
I'm no good at all this mid and scooped and bright business, all I know is it sounds cheap, tinny and thin.
Seem to be getting there. Re strung with 11's instead of the 9's I had kicking around, reset all the saddle heights. Jumped on the Fender page and adjusted pickup heights as per the measurements there, about 2.5 mm bass side and 2 mm treble side when fretted at the 21st fret. Defiantly getting better.
It’s like that sometimes, you just keep after it and eventually it gets there.
I think Teles need a minimum of 0.010"s on them before they start to sound like Teles.
The Entwhistles are budget-end pickups, and whilst they can talk the talk on construction, sometimes they do fail to walk the walk on the sound front. It seems that the majority of their pickups are decent, and I've known one guy to rave about their bass pickups, so if there's one in the range that's not great, then that's not bad when all things are taken into consideration.
