Single Pick Up Kits

I have a Di Marzio Paf 36th Anniversary sitting in my parts bin doing nothing, left over from my first build when they sent me a bridge instead of a neck PU.

Looking at the site, unless I'm missing something, which is very possible, all the single PU kits look like they are routed for a P90. Never used or had a guitar with one of those, can anyone tell me if it would take a humbucker with a bit of tweaking or are the dimensions too different to make it work. Looking at the JRM1-DC in particular.

You would need to alter the pickup rout. P90s are slightly longer and narrower than standard PAF-style humbuckers.

it depends on if it was routed for a dog ear or soapbar I think.. I have put humbuckers in : LPJnr ( mini-humbucker), DM-1 and a custom RD-1 all routed for dog ear P90's. On the RD it's VERY close but I was using a smaller than usual mounting ring.

You can always do a custom order to be sure
