Hi all, didn't see a thread for this guy around, so sorry if it's a duplicate.
This is my first kit guitar build - I'd been on a bit of a Carcass bender which sent me looking for a LP Junior-style build for a spot of P90 metal action. I fell in love with the spalted maple look of the DM-1S and here we are!
The back and sides of the body are walnut stained with a gloss Danish oil finish. The top is satin Danish oil, which contrasts beautifully and makes the spalted maple just jump out. The neck is unstained, with satin finish in the middle for smooth playing, blending into a gloss finish at the body and headstock.
Pickup is a Tonerider Hot 90, bridge and tuners are Wilkinson.

Just finished my first kit guitar build.
The guitar is stained Cherry Red with a Tung Oil Finish.
Custom Pick Guard and truss Rod Cover - Made with a Nickel Plated LP Record Master.
I will be replacing the plastic back plate with this material as well.
