Howdy from another Melburnian
Hello team
I have been lurking here for a little while.
After playing a fair bit of guitar in my teens and early twenties, it took a bit of a back seat as work and family took over. I started getting back into it earlier this year.
I did a guitar building course, and that really got me interested in building more guitars, and I have definitely been inspired by a lot of you guys.
Tonight I pulled the trigger on a JRM-1DC. My plan is to stain the body and neck in Dingtone Butterscotch, with Black Stump on the headstock with a Tru-Oil finish. I will probably upgrade the bridge, the tuners and the nut at some stage, but initially will go all stock.
Look forward to sharing the build with everyone, and picking your collective brains for some trouble-shooting
