Hello All,
before i go any further with this step it is black binding and has the sanding swirls on it from the PBG factory.
Whats the best way ahead to get it looking sweet prior to clear coating? Thanks so much from Newbie at Large.

I'm a newbie as well but I think maybe scraping the binding with a razor? I'm sure someone will tell you or even reiterate.
Try polishing the binding with 0000 steel wool. This can also help the binding clean up after staining.
I've used Micro mesh pads on my bindings and it works a treat.
Depending on how badly its keyed. I usually sand with 600 grit, then up to 1200 and 2000 grit. then I tape up the binding before staining. inevitably some stain will seep through, if that happens I just scrape or sand it off before the final coats go on.
Buy a kit without binding???
Boom tish:p
