Much joy around the crypt today as the posty dropped off the DM-1S. The factory only got one thing wrong and that was the pick up rout. They did P90 when I asked for humbucker, not to worry, a couple of shims on the ends and a little dremel-ing on the long sides will fix that,all will all be hidden by the pick up ring.
Plans are very basic, a light stain with wood dyes to darken front slightly and a bit darker on the back and neck finished in tru-oil. The Armstrong humbucker is actually 2 humbuckers so I'll add a 3 way switch and push pulls on the tone and volume knobs to give either single or humbucker and either or both. Should give a bit of variation for a "single" pick up. Bridge is a Hipshot Baby Grand I've been saving for just such a project, tuners are Mini Grovers.
The pattern on the splalt is nice and even, pretty happy about all the activity on the fretboard too!
