Anyone use this?... I would love to get near to The Shadows sounds to try and learn some, I've downloaded a couple of user set ups for Apache but on my guitar it sounds nothing like the sound I hope to get. It's only a copy Strat i have, maybe it is useless?
Although Hank has a wonderful sound there is nothing really difficult about it.
All you need is a bit of delay ( tape emulation not DD ) and reverb, in that order if you are using a sim and start in the neck / middle position then play with the tone settings on the guitar & amp, the same setup will get you a surf sound if you saturate the reverb a bit more
I have a Fender Mustang and can get a more than acceptable Shadows sound out of the Vox & Twin emulations.
Thanks Dave will give that a go, only just got the Vox VX 11 Combo amp as a starter for now
