Hi from Victoria!
Hola!
The names Kev. I was named after Aussie blues musician Kevin Borich (La De Das, Kevin Borich Express, Party Boys) and grew up with a father who plays guitar / sings in a blues band that has been around a little longer than I've been alive. His musical talent hasn't rubbed off on me at all. I can't play a guitar to save my life. I even shook hands with Brian Setzer hoping his guitar slinging skills would rub off on me and I could magically play guitar, but they didn't :(
Main interests music wise is Blues music. Anything from BB King, Stevie Ray, Jonny Lang, Gugun Power Trio, Clapton, John Mayer etc. Then comes the Alternative side of things, so anything from The Living End, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, My Echo, etc. I particularly like home grown stuff from the Melbourne area. Stuff the buffoons at Triple J wouldn't play because it's not Tash Sultana or Skip Hop.
Guitar heroes: Chris Cheney (The Living End, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Jacktars), Brian Setzer, Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters), John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan
I couldn't decide what guitar to build first. Originally I was going to build a Cigar Box Guitar and throw high end gear into it to make something the devil wished he had of built and played. But that's when I came across Pitbull Guitars. So many choices. If I were rich, I would have bought them all. It came down to a Tele or a GR-1SF so I bought Dad a TL-1A for his birthday. Then a few months later I bought myself the GR-1SF. The hardest part is choosing what colour to do it in.
I'll eventually detail my build in the appropriate thread and I'm hoping Dad will to with this TL-1A. Bring on the good times!

Welcome Kev from another Chris Cheney fan.
Killer kit that I have also lusted after but as you rightly pointed out, so many to choose from and only so much available coin. I reckon if the grain looks half decent natural or a lighter colour would look great.
Good luck and hope you have lots of fun along the way.
Cheers, Waz
Edit: Sorry for the correction but Kevin Borich lives locally up here on the Sunshine Coast and was originally from NZ.
