Questions about my Ibanez RG 570

Hi all,

I'd like to start by saying that I am trying to sell my Ibanez RG570 as I have no room for it anymore and I've kinda grown past metal guitar look.

That said it's an amazing guitar and I need some help identifying and dating this guitar.

The serial number for this guitar is F0037753. From what I can tell, this is saying that this guitar was made in in the Fuji-gen plant, in June of the year 2000 and it is the 7753 model made.

What is confusing me is that I am seeing that models from 1997-2002 had a maple/bubinga neck, and mine is solid maple and fits into the category of the 1995-1997 RG570's as shown on this page (including the trem and pickups):

Can anyone shed any light on my predicament?

It said in that list that the 1997-2002 model with the Bubinga stripe neck and Edge trem was only sold in the US until 2002. So I'd guess that either the 1995-1997 model continued to be sold in Europe until then, or maybe yours is the RG570EX (2000-2002) model.

Can you tell if your guitar has a Lo-Pro Edge or Edge trem on it? Dot or sharktooth fretboard markers?

It has pearly dot inlays, V8, V7 and S1 Pickups and a Lo-TRS Trem, liscensed under Floyd Rose, all-access neck joint, two piece maple neck, meaning headstock is grafted into the neck, I believe it's quartersawn as I can see the ray cells on the edges of the neck.

Well if you google 2000 RG570 and look at the images, you'll certainly see some with dot markers and no skunk stripe. But the Lo-TRS trem is an odd one as it's their most basic locking bridge. Are you sure it's a 570? A look at the USA 2000 catalogue would suggest that it was the 470 had the lo-TRS trem fitted.

It looks like mine is a 470 reissue from japan from 1998-2002! I only always assumed it was a 570 because I had never heard of the 470, so many model numbers, it's all very confusing. Needless to say I won't be selling it, I'll be giving it to my brother who likes it more than I.
