Yes Dave hes the man who got me playing my own style of heavy Blues Rock, but his influence was strong from the age of 13, when he was with Taste, i think he was all of 16 at the time.
Such a placid, delightful man until he hit the stage and watch out.
If i can find it i will dig out a track i did for an International Rory Tribute CD, Lou Martin and a few others were also on the CD, all proceeds went to Rorys charity the Irish Youth Foundation, it sold out in a few weeks which was great.
I'd love to hear that Tony as I'm sure the rest of the forum would, from memory it was mentioned in Gerry's book.
Were you part of Band Of Friends at any stage ?
No but there was a plan by one of his friends to get me to join Pro Vogue and tour Europe, then meet up with different Rory musos along the way and do some gigs and recordings.
Another mate of his was trying to get me to Ireland, and i was offered to tour a bit with Barry McCabe.
