Rustic Warn Look

Hi guys,
I received my kit this week.
I want a rustic warn look using oil base. How much sanding will i need to do if I don't want a polished look.

Where are you from and what kit have you purchased ?
What sort of stains or dyes are you planning ?

generally sand from about 180 grit to about 360 or 400 grit maximum

any higher grits will polish the wood surface and the stain won't take very well
