Glue for plastic nut

The nut came off, unbroken. Need to reglue it. What glue do I use?

A dot or two of super glue will do the trick. Not too much though.

What is the glue holding the plastic nut on?

I want a reverse answer to the question so I can remove the block of plastic stuck on my ES builds.

On my ES-3 build, there is a extremely thin piece of rosewood from the fretboard underneath it, if I try the "Would be normal" approach, and just tap it with a hammer, I'm almost certain that veneer will break off with the nut.
As it is, from the bone blanks I've been able to get to create a new nut, only one seems to have enough height to replicate the plastic one.

And that's only if that veneer remains.:confused:

ive removed two with the hammer tap, 100% success, but I might be lucky...

If you're scared of damaging the veneer by removing the nut, all you need to do to prevent that from happening is get a craft-knife with a very sharp blade in it and use it to score around the edge of the nut, if you've done it right the nut should come off cleanly with a few taps with a block of wood.
