Hello
Hi there,
I'm Dave, from Boston, MA. I built guitars, mostly from scratch, for several years and took a hiatus. Now, I'm back! I bought a Pitbull RCA-4 kit to get back into the swing of things with a kit... Hopefully, I do it justice!
Im sure Ill be around,
D

Hey Dave, welcome along. We would love to see some of your previous builds. Have fun!

welcome Dave, I'm also interested to see any pics of your scratch builds please !
You should rock out the RCA-4, you staining it or solid colour ?

Thanks everyone. On the RCA-4, Im going to stain.. Im planning on hand carving into the top, ala Lemmy.. I have some other plans as well. It will definitely be unique. I have 2 of my builds here. Ill snap some pics soon. One is a '52 Tele in butterscotch blonde, made from solid swamp ash. the thing weighs a ton. I used a replacement neck on that one.. Cant remember where I got the neck from. The other is an Explorer style body, made from Alder, with a figured Sapele top. I used a BC Rich neck on that one. Im very scared to build a neck! All pictures of the actual build processes, are buried in a box somewhere.. that was before I had a camera in my pocket all the time! Others I built, are long gone. I may be able to dig out pictures of those someday.. One was a Duosonic/Mustang type guitar with an original fender neck.. that was a nice one.. I gotta have pics of that....

Here's a link to some pics. As my wise father once said (God rest his soul).."If there weren't any f#ckups, you wouldn't know you did it yourself".. I definitely did these myself! lol.. Enjoy.. Oh, and please ignore the dust!!!!
