Hi there guys.
I've just bought a kit and had it turn up a bit sooner than I had planned for actually, so I'm a little unprepared. Anyways, the main thing that I'm running in to snags with organising is the paint. I've got a design planned out, and I just need the right paints to put it in to action.
I'm looking at my options of (a) getting a spray gun to do it and (b) rattle cans.
I'm trying to weigh up a few pros and cons of each of these, and I'm wondering if I might be able to get a bit of help with these. I'm wanting to compare price, ease of obtaining the pieces and ease of painting. Also if anyone does have suggestions of good brands to keep an eye out for, for either option, I'd be super appreciative of that too.
I do have a couple of extra question marks about getting a spray gun too, as I'm not super familiar with them. Firstly: do all of them require an air compressor? Or are some smaller ones self-contained? Since I don't have a compressor, and I don't really need one for anything else, being forced to drop a hundred bucks to get one would be kind of a deal breaker. I checked out Supercheap today and they all needed compressors there, but a few that I see on the Bunnings website look like they don't need to be hooked up to one.
Also, I'm not totally sure about good places to obtain paint for a spray gun. And I'm a little worried about finding a slightly "stranger" colour that I want (I'll attach a picture of the colours I'm in need of.) The black, light pink and white all seem like they would be fairly easy to come by at anywhere selling the right stuff, but the dark pink is not quite so "normal" of a colour.
Thanks in advance.
