ES-G1 first time build

start a build diary and do a mock build to make sure it all fits together.
Start sanding, don't over sand the veneers on the cap are very thin.

Hi guys
Had a good look at the kit and found a couple of issues,
but as this is my first crack at guitar building I'm not sure how much of a problem they will be.
There appears to be some separation between the veneer where the neck joins the body, I think I'll
Just glue this during the joining the neck and body
And the nut has a small gap on one side, I intend to fit a headstock veneer so that will cover it I think

Hey Logan, might be clearer if you can please post some pics of the issues.
Hopefully you can get some thin superglue under the veneer that has separated.
Might be worth thinking about a bone nut upgrade, that way you can knock out the plastic one and glue the veneer on so its fairly close to the fingerboard where the nut is glued on, then you can cut the veneer to suit the bone nut width
