Partscaster Build
So, here is another project to add to the many I have on the go. Another Tele one but non PBG.
This project will be a standard Tele build. 2 piece Alder Tele body, nice grain. A maple Fender Tele replacement neck. White scratch place. USA standard electronics.
Colour - body China Blue dye (Dylon), then nitro finish. Neck - nitro finish, and China Blue will be used on the headstock face to match the body.
Body sanded to 120 grit.

good stuff Ponch, how the hell do you find time for another build plus patrol the highways ?
plans sound awesome and got to love a light blue tele.
Will the nitro be spray can or you spraying from a gun ?
-
Good question Woks, I've got 4x builds in various stages (still in boxes to half complete..) never short of something to do in my limited spare time!
This will be rattle can Nitro.

all good Ponch it's great to have mulitple builds so you can juggle curing stages and vary the tasks.
So you shelling out for the Behlen nitro ?
Make sure those highways are safe mate !
-
Yep Behlen it is!

As always, my plans change. China blue colour will be reserved for my PB bass build...
This partscaster has been finished in FW Japan Black, sanded back then colourtone red mahogany. Then rubbed in satin poly (I'm a big fan of satin/matte finishes). Neck is still nitro.
Hard to see in the nightime mobile phone photos but this now has nice golden/brown highlights.
