got the LP as a fathers day present
wanted to see if i could do it without buying anything else.....
(note.. i am not a craftsman etc.. so this is a big ask)
What will I use for colour?
My daughters magenta fountain pen...
What will I use to finish that with...
Danish oil from when we tried to restore a desk we got from the hard rubbish

then i cut the headstock with my hacksaw, and carved it to something like a gibson moustache with a file, and then a lot of sanding...

colour looks pretty cool and the headstock looks good too.
Don't rush the build as that's when mistakes are mostly made !

more care to find and remove glue.. doesn't stain well... (duh)

Nothing wrong with purple/pink guitars. Obviously your bandmates are less confident in their sexuality than you are.
so: had some time away for work
watched the videos, read the forums..
then went for it and finished in two nights......
lessons learned to come..

danish oil many coats, each left overnight (very hard for impatient me)
lots of 1000 sandpaper on the neck.....
and then very careful measure and glue of neck....
