plz help.
Hi Frankie. Welcome
Plenty of help here, let us know what you need.Pictures really, really help as well.
Hi Frankie welcome to the forum.
As Stan said please post a pic and a brief description of the problem you have with the build
hi Stan, what grit sandpaper should I use while staining the body?
400 is the finest you need to go, any finer and the stain may have trouble sinking in as the surface is too "slick".
if you are sanding the top cap, , the "face " of the guitar, go very carefully as they are very thin
is there anything else I should know before starting?
Hi Frankie,
Before you do ANYTHING, make sure you have read the stickies in here:
http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au...splay.php?f=57
Also watch the videos here:

Then do a test fit, just to make sure everything is there - obviously you don't want to actually fit everything but lay it all out to make sure nothing is missing and the neck fits the body etc.
As for sanding.
Slowly, lightly, with the grain. Stop, look and feel the surface - you'll get a feel for when it is time to move up a grade of paper.
Above all else, do not rush. If you are unsure, stop, think and if you can't work it out ask. There are plenty of skilled artisans here who are willing to help.
Hello again, I have just finished building my GR-1SF but when testing with the provided strings, I might have made a soldering mistake but I’m not sure. The problem is that when plugged into an amp, the guitar is not producing any sound. I have tried messing around with the knobs but it still doesn’t work, when touched with my finger, the pickups and the selector switch make a loud humming noise. Not sure what to do.
Sounds like you might have an earthing issue, have you got a picture of the wiring diagram you're following?
https://www.pitbullguitars.com/wp-co...PBG-GR1-SF.pdf
I was unable to take a shot of the diagram as the jpeg wouldn’t reduce to send on this thread.. so have attached the link to the PDF file of the diagram instead.
