hi from geelong
howdy everyone, recently purchased an IB-6S kit so naturally found my way here. unfortunately i don't own much in the ways of a camera at the moment, so i can't take any progress pics, but i'll try borrow one for a few pics of the finished build.
i have a bit of a background in electrotechnology, wood working and guitar / bass playing so i thought it was high-time to combine those three and make an instrument.
everything's going well with my build, i do have one question though. can anyone point me toward a wiring diagram for this bass (2 pickups 5 pots)? i can't seem to find a similar arrangement anywhere without being attached to a pricey preamp. if anyone can point me in the right direction i'll be quite pleased.
thanks,
some guy

Welcome SG.
Most people seem to have gone with preamps on their builds. I don't have an IB-6 here to check the parts list but if you can post what's included in the kit (pot and cap values and type, 2 or 4 wire pickups etc) I'll try and draw up a couple of options for you.

hi weirdbits,
i was going to go with a preamp, but inconveniently i was laid off the day after i recieved my kit lol. i will look at the exact values soon, but from memory the pickups are 2 wire, there is 2 (b500k) volume pots, and 3 tone pots (a500k) with 0.068 micro farrat capacitors to a standard output jack.
if this theoretically means i can set the level of both pickups on the fly with a passive 3 band eq, i'd like to know how to wire it up as such lol. before asking for help i was considering just going with a standard 4 pot solution and 1 extra knob that did nothing haha, so thanks heaps.
