The Novice
I am new to the world of guitar building and have a query for you more experienced builders.
I have a Telecaster type kit with an ash body and when sanding the back of the body I removed a small of what appears to be laminate.
Does anyone know how or if if I can repair the damage ( btw it's a very small area ) in a way that will allow me to stain the body.
Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome.
A couple of ideas come to mind:
1 glue it back in and rub it back
2 find a colour of Timbermate (Bunnings have it and it's good) that best matches and use that. Timbermate stains fine

hi and welcome Novice,
can you please post a photo of the area so we have a better idea ?
If you need to fill an area then Stans suggestion of a similar colour timbermate probably your best option and sand it back once its dried

Thanks for the suggestion stan, will try Bunnings.
BTW the wood is virgin unstained as delivered.
