great vid, these guys have some great comparisons
Yep. I'll have one of those, thanks. Über cool.
Gotta love Chappers and the Captain.
Great video!, and their other comparisons videos are great too. I was heavily swayed toward a Bass VI - but I haven't enough fingers ;-)
Have watched Chappers and the Captain a lot...they always do really good comparisons. They are the dudes!!
quality video cheers PK, these guys are always entertaining and talented players, so this is similar to your Fender 6 Bass Guy ?
Back in the 1970's I had a series 2 Fender VI the one with the bass strangle switch and would love another ( big kit hint here guys :-) )
Here's a pic of it from an album cover that never made it to the shops

David have you got a better photo of the bass ? The image is a bit small !
G'day Wokka,
I'll have to rescan that one and see if I can get it bigger, not sure how it will come out though it will probably pixelate badly.
Here's another pic of the bass, I got it from the now long gone Elliot's Pawn Shop near Central Station in Sydney for $180 in 1969 / 70 and the previous owner had sanded the sunburst back and given it a natural finish.
Later on I painted it black and put the white pick guard on it.

In this pic I am playing through a 100W Dan Armstrong amp with a single 18"JBL.
Sadly and rather stupidly I swapped it for a Telecaster Custom in about 1975, one of the biggest musical mistakes I ever made and regret it to this day
Here's a couple of samples of this bass in action
With the Kimberly's

And with a heavy rock band Hydra recorded at EMI in about 1971, the bass amp was a 150W Lennard
