Here's one for the wiring gurus....
After much scratching of bits, swearing and interweb searching I have come up with Zip, Zilch nuthin.....
My dilemma is I have a Guitar here that has single coil neck and middle with 'bucker at the bridge. The guy wants three separate volume, one tone and a six way rotary switch..... It has beaten me :x
Any one out there with any ideas?
Thanks.

Does the client have a specific configuration they want on the on the 6-way? ie., specific split bridge combos with the other pups, or the 5 strat combos plus an everything on etc. ?
I've dabbled with 6-way rotaries before, so if you can list what switching options they want I should be able to come up with a workable diagram for you. Oh, and is it a 4-pole 6-way?

Hi DB. Like Scott says. If you can find out exactly what your client wants we should be able to come up with something. And by we I probably mean Scott. He likes that weird stuff. Hence the name.

Hey Weirdy, Thanx mate! :)
The normal strat with an all on is exactly what we need.
The switch is a four pole six way.
This will raise you to Über Legend status :)

Working on it now...
Do you want Jazz bass style independent volumes, so turning down one pup doesn't mute any others that are on, or old LP style where one volume can mute the others?

DB, I'm on my way with my new StewMac 6 way -rotary -fixer- Tool.
Be there in 30 mins.....

I've had a few interruptions, so it's a bit rushed… hopefully I haven't missed anything too major (I'm sure Lawry can double-check it).
This is set up like a Jazz where turning down one volume doesn't mute any other pickups etc. I made the assumption that you're not splitting the bridge, so all the pickup's grounds (negatives) just run to the common ground point at the back of the volume pot.
Turning the rotary switch clockwise gives the following:
1. Bridge
2. Bridge + Middle
3. Middle
4. Middle + Neck
5. Neck
6. Bridge + Middle + Neck
Here's the layout of the switch (only need 3 of the 4 poles), at least, this is how I have referenced it:

Here's the schematic. It would have been too messy with all the connections drawn so I've listed most of them instead, ie. "Bridge Vol 3" means connect to Bridge Volume pot lug 3 etc.

It's a bit hard to see all the connections on the switch in the drawing, so here they are mapped onto the switch image:

Is it clear enough? I think it's right, but like I said… rushed, so no money back guarantee ;)
