Hi all. I've been lurking here now for a couple months checking out all the great builds here and finally decided to buy a EX-1 kit last Monday. It arrived here today and I'm really looking forward to building this one.

I'm not going to be starting this until after the new year as I've still got 4 other builds to finish first, but I'll post pictures as I go along with it.
I'm quite happy with the EX-1 kit so far. I was a little worried what the neck would be like, but it looks and feels great. Its great value for the money. I wont be using any of the hardware that came with it, but the quality of it looks to be pretty good.
I bought an Epiphone Explorer a few years back to do this project but never got around to using it. Here is a picture of the EX-1 & Epi together, in case anyone is interested in seeing the difference of the two...

Welcome to the PBG community. Hope you have a lot of fun building your guitar and making it match your dreams. There's a ton (or is that tonne) of support here and I don't feel hesitant in saying that everyone will be keen to watch your build and help out if required.
