I'm about to attempt a finish on a SCM to replicate Jeff Beck's '54 oxblood Les Paul. I've used a mixture of stains, with water soluble red and purple, followed by brown Raven oil. My test wood looks very close. I'll finish with Truoil.
I've not seen this finish replicated except for Gibson signature models.
Anyone tried to do this colour?
