Live April Sea Freight Shipment Update Thread
Hello friends
I'm sure most people have heard at least some news about the current Covid situation in China.
In short, the Government "opened up" the Country, so they could get "back to business". Unfortunately, this had the effect of mass outbreaks of Covid-19 and, as such, a lot of factories (including ours), lost many, if not most, of their staff, due to contracting the virus.
This has meant that our "December/January" Sea Freight Shipment was severely impacted; in terms of production and QC.
To add to this delay; China recently celebrated Chinese New Year, which meant that all available staff went on holidays.
I will post updates here as I receive them from the Factory, so you are in the loop as to when to expect your pre-Order or Custom Order (by sea freight)
UPDATE 1
On January 23, the Factory contacted me to advise (in their words):
"Our vacation for the Spring Festival will end on 28th of this month (January), the workers from the factory will have the longer vacation, it will last to 5th of February;
About 35% of your order was completed, but have not been checked by QC;
As your order is on the production line now, they will be in production the moment vacation is over, the order should be ready within one month after the vacation is over."
This means, the earliest our shipment will be ready is early March. From there is needs to be QC Checked, loaded into a container and then booked on to an available ship.
If everything goes our way (it rarely does), we could see the ship arrive in the last week of March. Even then, we would not see the container delivered to our yard before the first week of April.
So, at this stage, we are quoting "April" for shipping out pre-Orders and Custom Orders. As we get further updates, we will post these to this thread, so that you are all kept informed.
We do sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times. There's certainly nothing that we can do from here to expedite the shipment.
