DIB-1F How do I ground to bridge?

I think I have the correct wiring diagrams, but I'm unclear on how to earth to the bridge. The bridge is solely on the top of the guitar, there are no metal posts into the body.

You will need to drill a hole under the bridge that goes to the bridge pickup cavity. Strip the wire and splay the threads so that they make good contact with the bridge when it is screwed down. You don't need to solder. Contact is enough. You can attach the end that goes to the pickup cavity on anything that is grounded.

Your distance looks short enough so that you might get away with regular drill bit, but I use a long bit to get a shallower angle between the bridge and cavity. You have to be careful to keep the angle shallow enough not to drill through the body. I came uncomfortably close do doing that on my last build ;-)

Thanks for the response! That was the conclusion I was starting to come to, but glad to see confirmation.

There seems to be some inconsistencies with the kits, with some with no route to ground the bridge and some coming pre-drilled.I don't know about the other hollow bodies, but the violin bass kit doesn't even indicate to ground.

I think you need to ground the violin bass at the tailpiece. Same basic procedure, but since the bridge floats and is non ferrous you have to do it to the metal tailpiece. Same basic approach with any electric guitar with a floating bridge.
