Tagging post to follow updates

HI all,
I never really have been on forums before, how do you follow a particular post, can you get alerts when a new reply is posted?

I just click on 'New Posts' every time I come here, which is at least a couple of times a day.

That usually does the trick for me, however. If you look up at the top of the page here there is a grey box with 'thread tools' and a tip down triangle. You can subscribe to the thread there and get alerts either on site or via email. I haven't used it so I don't know how well it works.
