First thread, first build - PRS-1Q ordered

Hey everyone.
Been lurking here for a couple of weeks now, thought it about time to say hello.
I'm a learn as I go, first time builder.

I have jumped the shark and ordered a PRS-1Q kit, Tonerider Alico IV pickups and a bone nut. Things being the way they are, it's not due to arrive till the 3rd week of August but I'm ok to wait.

That has, unfortunately, left more time for thinking and checking out other peoples work and I have come up with a concept for a second guitar already, before even getting the first one.
I saw someone do a hammered finish metallic paint job on a guitar, and it took me back to the old green public phones from back in the 80's. So I thought a metallic green hammered finish with a telecom orange pickguard on a telecaster kit of course. Maybe do the back of the body with a PMG motif and relic it up a bit.
