Just got my MK2 kit this week. Will get started on it ASAP. Already got a DiMarzio FS-1 to put in it as trying to make this as Johnny as I can... even though his sound / tone was mostly in the wrists.

I learnt some Ramones songs when I was learning power chords. Good stuff and fun to play.
That's how I learnt to play guitar. I just watched their music videos and worked it out off the TV. I was surprised to find out there is a lot more to their songs than people think.Quote:

Your landlord is on the right track. Automotive acrylic lacquer is a good choice for solid colours. Good brands in Australia are Duplicolor, SCA, and Septone. On my tele I am using SCA primer-filler, duplicolor metallic blue (some Hyundai colour), with SCA clear gloss over the top.
One good thing about these paints is the huge variety of colours. There are so many variations of white that you should easily find what you like.
