Is the bridge on the TL-1TH kit a top-loading?
Yes it is. I don't know if it can be through-body strung as well, but you'd have to drill your own holes through the body and get some ferrules to do so.

I am a very simple guitarist and all my basses and my guitar are top loading, it's simple and I like it.

I am building a TL-1TH right now as well. The stock bridge has holes drilled that would allow through-body, but it's more work than I want to take on without a bench drill, so top-loading is the way to go.
