Hi All,
Doing my first Pitbull Kit, the ST-1 which I received as a birthday gift. The paint finish is complete (as pictured) I’m just having trouble understanding where to start on the build. I have done a sort of mock build? Putting parts into place. Is there a specific process order to doing the build? I’ve pushed the machineheads into place, would the best place to start be drilling and screwing them into place? Sorry I’m a complete novice when it comes to this stuff haha. Thanks Kindly.

Have a read of this (if you haven't already). I'm sure you will have additional questions as you progress through the build, but the manual is laid out in a methodical step-by-step way and a good place to start.

Click on the Guides button at the top of the page, and you'll find links to all kinds of help, from PDF manuals to videos and even pretty much every variation of wiring diagrams.
And, of course, keep coming back here and asking questions. There are insanely knowledgeable members of this forum more than willing to share that knowledge.

Haha, yes I did, would like to take the sole credit for doing that but actually had some assistance with the finish.
So I guess “like a real man” I took a smoko break early into the project :rolleyes:
The finish is the hard and long part, unless your going to war with your frets... thats the one im avoiding at the moment!
The rest can be done in a day just about!
Get the pickguard and elecs sorted and wired, as its an ST it all sits on the guard and will just pop in when its all done. Drilling holes is a bit stressful i find... but you just gotta get in there and do it! The elecs in place may help you position it correctly as the pickups will be in their spots and prevent the pickguard from sliding around too much, when your happy with its positioning, tape it down to secure it and drill away!
BUT ALWAYS MEASURE AND TRIPLE CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE DRILLING. Check the positioning, read the manuals and tips on the pitbull website to make sure there isnt something your forgetting, many things can be done out of order... but a few steps will really bite you in the ass if you rush over it and jump on something else beforehand.
Pop in the neck, doing it now or later shouldnt be much of an issue apart from getting in the way. Once everything is screwed in, string up and off you go!
