Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse. I’m not a huge fan of the band because I don’t like what they do with the vocals. The bassist, (along with the drummer and guitarists) however, is really good!
So is his instructional book/CD. I built a 5 string bass for the sole purpose of mastering the Extreme Metal Bass instructional. There are 3 challenging instrumental songs at the end to learn. I now have a mission.

That’s definitely my motivation and my inspiration. When I complete the book (If I can get good enough), I’ll feel pretty good about it. If you’re a rocker and want to take it to the next level, this is the book.
