Hi all. Have a bit of a dilemma with my black headstock. I have printed out some decals on decal paper in lighter colours like gold etc. And when I apply them the ink is invisible against the black.
Anyone know a way around this?

You should use decal paper with a solid white background.

But then I would have the white backing on the black headstock.

You need to find somewhere with a printer that has a 'white' function. That will lay down a coat of opaque white and then print the colour over it. I would ring around some local singage places. Alternately you could have it cut in white vinyl. I did that on the steampunker, but used gold vinyl, like this:

It will sit slightly raised from the surface, but looks pro

Alternately, you can print the decal in reverse on the decal paper, then colour it in with a gold/silver sharpie, seal it and then apply it 'upside down' similar to what Nitro did here (about halfway down the page):

That's the way I do all of mine.
