Some new kits have just been loaded on the site.

There's the ML-1 (https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/guitars/pit-bull-guitars-ml-1-electric-guitar-kit/) which was one suggested on our New Kits Ideas Forum

28372

Mahogany body and neck, Ebony fretboard and Chrome, Black or Gold harwdware options.

There is a Lefty version available (Chrome hardware) which will be up tomorrow.

The long-awaited JMA-6 (https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/guitars/pit-bull-guitars-jma-6-electric-baritone-guitar-kit-ash-body/) Baritone 30" Scale kit has arrived and looks good. Brendan has borrowed one to check out and reports there are no major issues... looks like the Factory finally got it right. This is a Pit Bull Guitars exclusive.

28371

We now have a 7 String SV style kit, the SV-7 (https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/guitars/pit-bull-guitars-sv-7-electric-guitar-kit-7-string/).

28373

Check 'em out.

Finally, we have added some more hardware options to some of our existing kits, like the IC-1 (Black) and SV-1 (Gold).

Doh!! Only seemed like yesterday I was mulling (out loud) over this configuration.

cheers, Mark.

[edit] With some creative dowelling....voila! Jaguar/Mustang bass.

I was wondering if it could become a fender VI clone???

Could be done but would take some effort, you'd need to fill the rout for the toggle switch and rout the lower bout for the four sliding switches which in turn would mandate a solid colour.

You could I guess order it as a custom order with only the trem and control plate rout and I guess a swimming pool for the pickups which would only leave the route for switches.

Why oh why couldn't this have come out 6 months ago, I'm committed to the carbon fibre 12 stringer now.

So forgetting the switches and cosmetics, I presume scale length etc means it could be a doable F VI in terms of short scale 6 string Bass?

Hi Waz. As I pointed out in the other thread, somebody has converted a standard Squier Bronco to a VI bass.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2wP1F2qMhk

My concern was that the width of the nut would be too narrow for 6 'thicker strings' but I haven't seen it first hand.

So my guess is 'yes' it is doable.

cheers, Mark.

bass6 with no pick guard

with

you could soon make a pick guard without the switchhole to cover that over

Standard strings .095 .075 .055 .045 .035 .025 inches,

So uh, could we then get a hardtail strat body with a 30" neck, and do that? Or we keeping the neck purely for that build for now

I'm going to be all over that ml kit once I've got some play money together, that thing looks killer.

Dang..... that baritone has me all indecisive. Think I still need to convert the 12 string ST to a 6 string first..........

Looking forward to getting my mits on the JMA-6... it'll be a great second for The Prisoner... that's it! I'll call it "The New Number Two"!

I dunno , "merde" may be a variation....unless you're French.

It might accurately describe the build- I'll hold that thought.😂

Yes, we have ST and TL necks (separate) in 27" and 30". They are matched for our ST and TL kits, so, in theory, you can order an STA-1HT with a 27" or 30" neck, with Maple, Rosewood or Engineered Rosewood (fretboard) neck. Just got to get around to photographs and putting them on the site.

The separate necks have Dot inlays, not Blocks.

Out of curiosity, are the baritone necks scaled so that they work with a body made for 25.5" scale? Or would you need to route a body to suit?
Cause if they work with turning a 25.5" scale guitar into a 27" guitar with no work other than bolting, and making sure it's straight. I'm buying one for my strat haha

Loved the JMA-6 Baritone 30. Will probably get one over the weekend. Thanks for sharing.

Does the baritone have strat sized pickups? very very close to pulling the trigger on one but want to switch the stock pick ups to lipsticks unless they're oddly sized.
