Hey guys!

Here's a demo of that DM-1S I had in the Feb GOTM thread. I'm not really a guitarist (mostly an electronic muso / synth designer) so the playing's not that impressive, but I strung a few riffs together and made this track.

Absolutely love this guitar, it's become my go-to writing axe. Kind of has me thinking about a humbucker-equipped Junior to go with it...

Great playing and video, don't put yourself down on your playing. It more than fulfilled its purpose in demonstrating the guitar and hearing how it sounded in a metal context without everything being hidden by a million notes per second playing.

Awesome! The fact that my most played axe is a Junior with a mini humbucker is what led me to come up with the DM-1. I've developed a thing for single pick up guitars.

Nice riffage! It reminds me of the American death metal band 'Death'.

Thanks everyone, guitar's a fairly recent addition to my musical palette but I do try to keep my technique as clean as I can. I think one of the benefits of picking up a skill when you're a bit older is you're more inclined to concentrate on getting the boring little details of your technique sorted out from the get-go.

I was also using this as a chance to play around with some various lenses I've ended up with - all those close ups are from a 70's Canon 50mm which is just gorgeous.

Nice riffage! It reminds me of the American death metal band 'Death'.

It's funny you say that, because the first thing I thought when I played this guitar was "Huh... it kind of sounds like Death"! I think it's that strident upper-midrange that the Hot 90 provides, it kind of has the same aggressively trebly sound that Chuck Schuldiner always went for. Together with the 24.75" scale it just makes you want to play those fast old-school death metal riffs all day long.

Have to agree here. Excellent way to showcase these guitars with a great demonstration.
However a casual search of the Pitbull shop comes up empty-handed.
Has it sold out?

cheers, Mark.

Nicely done, I've been thinking about a Junior somewhere along the way but this tone monster could be a unique alternative.

And yes I would find a spot for it in country somewhere :D
