I thought it was worth mentioning the 'Workshop Archives' section of The Guitar Magazine's website (a UK publication). Whilst a lot of their content now seems to be reviewing peoples collections of old guitars, they do have a normally interesting 'Workshop' section, either doing something to a guitar or an amp.
They are currently converting an old Greco LP Standard copy into a P90 equipped Goldtop. Whilst some of the workshop stuff is a bit mundane, they do sometimes come up with some good tips. The web site is a couple of issues behind the magazine (Part 4 in the mag, part 2 on the website), so it's not that far behind.
Certainly worth bookmarking and browsing through.
