Hi guys,

How about a headless 7 string? Like a Strandberg Boden or a more basic style headless 7?

Ever since I finished my headless build, I don't think I'm ever going back to a standard. I don't see the benefit at all.

Cheers!

I can't imagine the factory will be able to manage the Strandberg style kit, with fanned frets. But in theory they could make a 7-string version of the headless guitars they already make, but it would depend on the availability of the 7 string hardware to go with it.

I know it's near impossible at the price point. But a basic 7 headless even with a non-trem would be great.

You could pm Adam about the possibility of a custom 7 string SH-1. But I think the hardware will still end up being the issue.

Yeah I was trying to search bridges but couldn't find any (cheap one's).

I guess it starts there.

fwiw, Adam and I tried customising the sh-1 about a year back to come with a 7 string FR bridge. We both agreed that a fixed bridge wouldn't be doable due to availability, but that an FR would be okay.

But, when all was said and done, the factory messed up and only routed for a standard 6-string, even though there was confirmation of doing it as 7. So a 7-string variant on the SH-1 should still be possible, but it's a little into uncharted territory with the factory, and results may vary.
