Still rather new here but I wonder why there is no button at the end of a page to go back to the forum index?

Now, when I have read all the posts in a topic, I have to scroll my way back to the top to click on the button to see of all the subforums again.

Or am I missing something?

There is a 'top' button at the very bottom right of the page. If you use that, then it saves all the scrolling. Not a full solution, but less effort.

I have seen that 'top' button but that only brings me up on that page, not back to the forum index.

I am administrator on a phpbb based forum and there is, by standard, a button that brings you back to the forum index.

But this forum is based on vBulletin and I do not know if there is such an option to implement.

Even better would be to also have path at the bottom, so you can step back as far as you want without having to return to the top first. Such as for this page:

Forum (http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au/forum/forum.php) > Pit Bull Guitars (http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=37) > Feedback (http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=49) > Button on end of page to go back to the forum index > Top (http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=7013&p=131786#top)

Ideally, just just below the Previous/Next Thread links.

That would be a nice solution indeed :)

I'll check with our master of all things digital and see what can be done...

I've added a couple static links to the left of the screen.
'TOP' should take you to the top of the page you are currently on.
'UP' should take you up a level. For example, if you are reading a thread in the Feedback Forum, clicking 'UP' will take you to the Feedback Forum. Clicking 'UP' from there should take you to the Pit Bull Guitars forum and 'UP' from there will take you to the forum home.

This proved to be trickier than one might expect. I hope the 'UP' solution I've put in works for you?

Cheers!
