Has anyone ever concentrated ink with water to stain their guitar ?

Several people have done that here. You need to use a permanent ink to ensure colour stability over time.

Yes, quite a few of the blue builds here have used blue ink as it's hard to find a wood dye that gives a deep enough colour.

cheers,
Gav.

Check out my Blue Tele in the signature where I diluted ink jet cyan blue with water. Dead simple and worked brilliantly.

Thank you so much Simon, Gavin, Waz and Stan. You have all been very helpful. Much appreciated. Here are some pic of my TBJ-5F so far. I have even used my Fiancee's nail polish to finish my Reversed lefty Iceman...Now a Fireman Bass. Its a pearl white finish with a marble effect and a coating of clear pearl glitter nail polish stolen from my Fiancee ! Haha. I have posted those pics also in "My Build Diary".

Killer colour combo. Great burst on the headstock. She's going to be a great bass!

cheers,
Gav.
