This was a custom order, which the factory messed up and we refunded our disappointed customer.

So, it's up for grabs!

Basically, it's a stock EX-1 with an Alder body, which has a really nice grain.

You can order with or without hardware and pickups.

How did the factory mess it up, Adam? Looks pretty good to me.

They messed up the customer's specs. He wanted ebony fretboard, no inlays, FR Bridge routing, unshaped headstock. In fact, the only thing they got right was the alder body.

No faults with the kit, it's just not what he wanted.

Hey Pabs, I was going through our order history the other day... did you know you placed the very first order on the PBG Site? Order #539, 28 August 2012, for a TL-1 (which I think went on to be one of the first GOTM winners).

Cheers for being such a loyal customer and awesome contributor all this time. Might have to organise a Plaque for our 5th Anniversary next year.

If I wasn't saving for a Vee I'd be on it LOL

Are you serious? That's a little bit crazy! I remember stumbling on something you posted on Reddit and thinking that sounded like fun. Well, it was. Cheers for all the good times Adam.

I know the feeling. When I finally get to order, I'll be looking for an alder body, maple neck and ebony fretboard - probably without markers too.

I've just bought it. Always fancied an Explorer, as I've already got a V.

Thanks, Adam. Though I'm in no particular hurry as it's winter here and I won't be able to do much, apart from planning, before spring arrives.
